Our Mission

Halifax County Humane Society is a non-sheltered program. We work closely with our local animal control and pull as many dogs and cats as possible from the pound each week to adopt out, foster or transfer to no-kill shelters in Northern Virginia. Our two main focuses are spay/neuter and community education, and of course, saving as many lives as possible via adoption, foster or transport.
